R. Daniel Smith joins Equiventure Capital as Executive Vice President of Venture Capital Consulting Division with over 22 years of senior executive experience, his management and operating expertise spans a full range of operational functions from sales and marketing, manufacturing, product development, channel operations, and business development. He has a solid record of accomplishment in operational and executive managerial roles in both public and privately held companies worldwide.
Prior to joining Equiventure Capital, Daniel led or participated in over $150 million of Venture Capital related transactions while also providing services to several industry-leading companies. These included global platform partner strategies in Enterprise Resource Planning, Customer Relationship Management and Sales Force Automation markets, and other engagements ranging from industrially related enterprises; digital imaging, consumer water bottling, HPC/Storage applications, manufacturing, healthcare technologies and systems integration.
As Chief Executive Officer, Daniel has led the formation and development of several entrepreneurial companies including nStor Technologies (AMEX), which eventually ranked 9th in Worldwide Revenue for the OEM segment and 18th for the server segment in RAID technology. Prior to nStor Corporation, he served as CEO of Intelligent Manufacturing Systems, a privately held multinational company that designed and developed enterprise applications for ERP/SCM, spread spectrum data collection and integration development tools for high-density storage systems.
Daniel received his Bachelor of Science degree from Jacksonville University and has earned professional development certificates including; Advanced Manufacturing, Financial Management in Advanced Manufacturing and Sarbanes Oxley Compliance.
